Half of cell owners don’t know where to recycle cell phones

A new survey conducted by Kelton Research has found that half of American cell phone owners don’t know where to recycle cell phones or what to do with old, unwanted or broken handsets. The study was conducted between the 10^th and 17^th March across a panel of over 100 American’s aged 18 or over who owned a cell phone. The findings show that many people still aren’t aware that they can get cash for cell phones or that the cell phone recycling industry exists.

This is a major problem as more and more handsets get released and people upgrade frequently to the latest and greatest. Recycling those old cell phones will help the environment and put cash in your pocket, it is a win-win situation for all. Even broken cell phones can be worth hundreds of dollars. It isn’t just cell phones that can be recycled either, tablets, iPad’s, iPod’s, MP3’s, laptops and many other gadgets can have a monetary value and use. Continue reading →

Earn extra money in January by recycling your gadgets

Everyone knows that January is one of the hardest months of the year in terms of cash flow, it can really give you the January-blues. You can earn extra money in January though by recycling your old cell phones, tablets, gadgets and electronic devices for cash. Not only will it put some fast cash in your pocket, it will also help the environment.

Christmas is the most expensive time of the year for most people, present buying, extra food and alcohol purchasing and time off work all contribute to you having less (or in some cases ‘no’) money in your pocket at the start of the year once the festive season is over. It is hard for many people but decluttering your old electronic devices can help you earn extra money in January and February in preparation for that next big event – Easter. Here at Sell My Cell Phones, we would like to take this opportunity to wish all of our customers and website users a very Happy New Year, let’s hope that 2014 proves to be a very happy and prosperous one for all.
